I purchased this for our newborn son, as a "First Easter" gift. He is too young to enjoy it especially, but the quality of the book and the plush Peter Rabbit leaves nothing to be desired! I know that I will cherish this for years to come, if our son doesn't! I was really impressed with the quality and presentation, especially considering the price. And the tale is just such a classic!
I ordered this for a baby shower gift. I was very happy with the packaging, book and Peter. I almost bought two but decided to wait and see this set in person. After opening the box and inspecting the book and Peter I think I will be ordering this again for another baby shower in April. The book and Peter are small...just the right size for a baby thru toddler to hold and cuddle while parent or caregiver reads the book aloud to child. Perfect size to carry along in diaper bag or child's tote to bring out when needed to entertain the child. This is a perfect way to introduce a child to the world of Beatrix Potter.
A delightful gift-set and you simply cannot beat the price. Being English, I am quite the die-hard Beatrix Potter fan and, as a little girl, I had everything Beatrix Potter! Now I have a little girl of my own, and this was my gift to her for her very first Easter. It is a beautiful keepsake, for sure, and if you are gifting this to someone, it is displayed very nicely in the box, which is a bonus.
The item itself is wonderful; it's the packaging for shipment that brought this down to 3 stars. The sender placed it in a soft bubble envelope which caused the soft box to crush during shipment. I'm not happy with the seller for doing this. The item should have been placed in a cardboard box for shipping. Because of the crushing, I was not comfortable giving this item as a shower gift and made other plans. Good luck if you purchase from this seller!
This made an adorable addition to my granddaughters Easter basket. I must say though the book might not be for all children as the father rabbit ends up in a pie...
Bought this to go with a hand knit baby coat that had Beatrice Potter characters on the buttons. The book and little stuffed rabbit were a very nice addition to the gift, Mom-to-be loved it. This would be a lovely stocking stuffer for a new baby or a nice shower gift. Book and Peter Rabbit are sized for a little one's hands.
I got this as an Easter Bunny present for my 2 year old last year and she loves it so much. This book is amazing (my daughter is fascinated by Mr. McGregor) and the little size is perfect to go in her crib, in my purse or wherever. She has quite literally "loved this book to pieces" and the little bunny with it was such a cute added bonus!
Bought this for a baby on the way. My daughter always loved Peter Rabbit books growing up, now she is having her first child. I thought it would be very appropriate.
