I got this as a Christmas gift for my dad. I think this is the third or fourth version I've bought for him. He says it has a ton of information and is very accurate. He does a ton of gun shows so he likes having an accurate value to place on items and brings it with him so others can look through it. I'll probably get the next edition for him when it's out.
I can't vouch for the accuracy of the 110,000 value estimates, but I consult it often and find it useful. The many pictures and text descriptions of variations are of considerable value to me as an amateur/wannabe collector. It is still on my desk several months after purchase.
This is an essential reference book for people who buy and sell firearms, or people who just have a general interest in firearms. It gives the most up-to-date information available and provides a fair valuation. The price was good enough that I buy the new edition each year.
I prefer this particular book over any other. Well put together, tons of information in many specific categories, and real world values (though off on some stuff due to supply/demand). My favorite book for finding just about any firearm I might be looking for.
I purchase a new Standard Catalog of Firearms every year along with The Blue Book of Gun Values because I am a gun enthusiast. Both are good reference material.
This is an excellent reference book. it has more information than any other source i use. if you want one book that covers almost all gun values, this is it.
Excellent publication - very informative book. I get a lot of good us out of it just as I have with previous editions.
