The book brings in some good points for consideration. Probably a good read before you marry into another family. As one who tried and failed at blending a family, I know it takes utmost consideration for all. And sometimes the 80/20 rule applies. I think, more than solutions, this book gives examples of what may be expected. The solution they offer is taking on the servant role of Jesus. Setting self aside to better the lives of your family, (though adults usually marry for their "self" reasons), seems to run through this read. As always, when we have kids, we should be ready to devote most of our energies to assisting them become secure and faith filled adults. At the same time, adults need to confer and converse often, so they can maintain a healthy relationship. If the adults are at battle, the whole blend suffers. Another point to consider is how many family parts are affected by a blended marriage. In-laws, cousins, step everythings, grands, and many more than husband & wife.

I bought this book for a couple of friends that have blended families, hoping it might be a help to them. One friend has read it and said it was very helpful. I recommend this book to anyone with a blended family. The real stories of others was very good and made our friend feel like she wasn't alone with their unique situations.

Salvation/Christ focused messages, encourages married couples to stay together/grow stronger, your personal testimonies, written from a realistic and christ centered perspective, targeted specific issues such as finances, discipline, names, visitation, respect, etc., information helpful, applicable and true, not too long, gets the message across clearly, and husband and wife perspectives and input. This book can give anyone married, single, remarried, or engaged a biblical view and understanding of what Christ wants to do in our homes. The authors do an exceptional job at directing the reader to God's plan and provision for marriage and family. Their personal experiences are a testimony to what God can do if we let Him. THE BLENDED FAMILY encourages trust in Christ and the word of God as the blueprint for building a strong family. A must read for anyone in or about to become a blended family.

I love these exercises. I've picked my flute back up after a few years of not playing, so my tone has been inconsistent and disappointing. When I was a student, it seemed that the focus was on getting a piece of music mastered, without much attention paid to achieving a clean sound. This is wonderful - it's helping me slow down and perfect my tone, and I'm already seeing improvement after just a few days.

Several experienced flutists recommended this book. I've been playing on and off for eons but had never stumbled upon it. After less than a week using this book, the improvement in my tone is remarkable. It's a lovely read as well. If the idea of sounding "purple" or "yellow" appeals to you, get this book. Even if it doesn't, get this book. If it helps you half as much as it's helped me, you'll be quite pleased.

This book was recommended by an online blog that I trusted and I am very thankful that I purchased it. When I start getting discouraged about my progress with the flute, I open this book and practice long tones on the low register, the middle register and the high register. And when I am done, I am back to thinking....I may just learn how to play this beautiful instrument yet!!

Great for developing tone. My teacher likes the Trevor Wye books so when I bought this she decided we could use for my long tone warm ups and vibrato practice. The exercises are taken from actual flute excerpts and solos and modified for the exercises. Keeps it much more interesting. Worth the price.

The exercises are great and I have benefited. However, the print is small and the mix of sharps and flats can be confusing.

This guy knows what he's doing. All the repitition can be boring, but it gets results.

I really enjoyed the CD. He refers to exercises in Vol. I that are in his other books which I didn't have. It would have been helpful to know that since I didn't buy the entire series at once. He refers to Practicer Book IV and Proper Flute Playing by Novello and Practice book VI. Especially Proper Flute Playing book is referred to several times.
