I received this ARC from Netgalley in return for an honest review. Netgalley provided a short excerpt from the book (maybe the first two chapters?). It's a continuation of Ms. Laurenston's new focus within the wonderful alternate world that she's created. In this world, humans coexist, unbeknownst to them, with shapeshifters of all breeds. Bad things happen (but not graphically), characters are well written, each book has a hero & heroine with an HEA. All good things. I enjoy everything I've ever written by Ms. Laurenston under both of her pen names. This looks to be another great addition to the series and I've already pre-ordered my copy from Amazon. (27 Mar 19 addendum - My purchased copy downloaded yesterday and the story doesn't disappoint. The astounding genius Stevie (multiple PhDs - specializing in physics and music, to name a few (oh, and bioengineering!) thinks Shen is just ADORABLE (he's a panda shifter and bodyguard). Circumstances keep bringing them together as a shifter is attempting to find a biological solution to hybrid shifters (to a permanent end). All the people in previous stories appear in this one but it can be read as a stand-alone book with no problem. Once again - a great addition to the series!).
I didn't think the cover model was a good match for SHEN, (maybe Ludi Lin?) But outside of the cover, the book itself isn't as sexy as her usual, I didn't find Shen particularly book boyfriend worthy, but it was definitely hilarious. (To be honest, he was sort of just there, and it was a letdown that he seemed to be the sidekick; compared to the rest of the series - It sort of amped up the funny but dialed down the romance).. Oh, and it the humour was more sneak attack punchlines than one liners... In places you wouldn't think it would be funny, there's the long windup, then next sentence is the punchline. It's a style Laurenston does particularly well, but it's why you don't see many highlighted quotes - the punchlines don't make sense on their own (don't get me wrong, there's a story here, it's not a joke book, but the humour is so good it's different from all the other PNR books...)

Stevie likes shen and then steamrolls shen into a relationship with her; But while trying too have a relationship with Shen. Stevie and her sisters are in danger from people want too change hybrids. Will Stevie and her Sisters and Shen help save all hybrids or will the two brothers find the way too change all hybrids into humans. This is a must read book.
Absolutely loved this next installment of the Honeybadgers!! In a Badger Way is the story of Stevie MacKilligan falling in love with panda shifter Shen Li. Stevie is the child prodigy/genius and Shen the bodyguard, their story is so entertaining! I love the MacKilligan sisters and their insane ways of life and love. It’s definitely not a boring read.Shelly Laurenston did it again and hit it out of the park. I highly recommend this book and any other book by Shelly!!
You can nevrr,ever go wrong with a Shelly Laurenston book. It's witty, dangerous, hot, and a necessity in all lives. This book follows the youngest badger sister as she gets suckered into helping find a scientist who has been experimenting on hybrid shifters. With the help of her sisters and her very cute, very hot, Panda (forced until loved new boyfriend ) she tries to stop the mad scientist while also dealing with her anxiety and controlling her hybrid side. It makes for a wild ride,but you won't be disappointed.
Good book like the last one can't wait for Max's story but I do have one problem with the I don't know if it was just mine or if it was the batch that was printed out but from pages 156 to 189 are all jumbled up I think they got printed kind of backwards I would like a return but don't know it did next book would be the same. But I still get five stars because it's still a good book you just have to figure out where the pages is go
I waited so long for this and it was so worth the wait. Completely different from how I thought Stevie and Shens relationship would be but it worked.Like every MAsterpiece she writes this book is super funny. I can't count how many times I just couldn't hold my laughter in. But what I enjoyed the absolute most was all the pop up from Characters from ther books and series. I freaking love this book !!
Shelley never fails. She has the Midas touch. I always pre-order all her books and count the days until release. Always wait on pins and needles.Worth it. So so worth it. A fantastic read that made laugh from beginning to end. Have been a fan since the first. I got all my family hooked. Books you can read over and over. Thank you Shelly.
