This was an amazing book. Jay overcame a lot in his life, and still became a strong man. Mrs. Gabrielle gave a new meaning to "my circumstances don't define who I am". Jill's character had so much of Elissa in her (the jazz, and the poetry) I read this book in a day and a half, I couldn't put it down. I cried and rejoiced, especially when he reconnected with his brother. I am a strong believer that God puts no more on you than, you can bear and he place the right people n our lives (Jill and LT) No words are needed sometimes just action. EMDR is complicated when working with children who have had long complex trauma and abuse that was on going for years. The work needs to go slow and kids can be hard to engage. All of Ana's work is a huge help in working with this group of children.
